"Always loose dogs and dog poop every where. People let them out on purpose so they don’t have to clean up after them. People will let dogs jump on cars while on leash "

"Well I have packages delivered to my front door all the time, I've never had a problem with a package being stolen, as far as people picking up after their pets I really don't know, and we have a Halloween parade instead of trick or treating each year. I have only lived here for a couple years and I am not from this side of town but so far no problems and the city is really trying to make Duquesne a more welcoming place to live."

"I've lived here 5 years and other than the shootings I have no qualms. Neighbors friendly and responsible with their pets."

"When is very affordable people are nice they usually keep to themselves though most people mind their own business"
  • Keemike01
"No major businesses but it still thrives. Dispite being between Mckeesport and West Mifflin, it remains a decent area. And under the new mayor it will only get better."
  • Michellebrooks126
"Rent is cheap, on the bus line, lots of investment opportunities and crime is kinda low although there has been a couple of murders/shootings in the last couple of years "

"I moved here four months ago. I think it is a good neighbourhood. Mtyneighbour are very nice and the area is well kept. The home owners on my street take pride in there homes and it is in a convenient location. I love it here! Very quite neighbourhood."
  • Olivia C.
"Don't believe the urban legends. I am a homeowner here. Great neighbors well maintained homes. We are nothing like the bad areas that people fear when they hear of these Mill Towns! It is safer here than in Mt Washington or Shadyside. Put your kids in private school with the money you save or just wait for it to be all in the West Mifflin district. There are great Charter school options a swell. These homes are built like bomb shelters and they are well maintained. I love it here. This neighborhood just needs young families that want a great home . If you have a vision that includes trying to build a community garden and breathing some young talent back in to a town that gave so much than you should look at these magnificent homes. Come at night and see how quiet this area really is!"
