"Not a “community event” neighborhood. For the mostly part the roads are safe to walk/run and neighbors are out and about and friendly. Suburban environment."
  • Trulia User
"Overbearing association. Other pet owners let their dogs create a nuisance. There are board members that absolutely don’t follow the rules."
  • Emily H.
"friendly neighborhood, beautifully maintained. love Hansel park walking distance! Hansel park is really what makes it special for me."
  • Emily H.
"Hansel park is the best and most beautiful park I've ever seen. I love living here mostly due to this park. "

"I’m not a parent so I won’t speculate on what parents find important. The area is one of the safest in all of Pennsylvania. "

"I grew up in Buckingham. It used to be mostly farmland. People are polite, clean, quiet, and law abiding. New hope and Doylestown are close by."
  • Ohxalina
"I have no idea I don’t live in a neighborhood but we all have land to let our dogs play. So that’s pretty great"
  • Becky H.
"The community is absolutely wonderful to raise kids in! The schools are great, kids are always outside playing, and the area is super safe!"
  • Steven D. W.
"I don’t think there is a leash law, although most owners keep their pets leashed when walking. I do have a neighbor that doesn’t and she is not a nice dog. Not socialized, not friendly."
  • Steven D. W.
"Great neighborhood but not enough kids outside. Awesome walking/bike path runs along Cold Spring Creamery Road, for a couple miles, connecting different neighborhoods, a park, etc."

"I work 5 minutes from my home. Getting around town is so easy. Traffic is never a problem and we have easy access to many different major highways "

"Love it!!!!! We have lived here for 17 years and we love everything about it. The people, the sense of community and the great way of life. Our children have attended wonderful schools, we have met wonderful families and our lives have been enriched by living here. We have been lucky to be in an area that values the whole and encourages the individual."

"House is located in a small development which is a great family neighborhood. Excellent school district. Easy access to walking trails to nearby parks; shopping in Doylestown. Good location for commuters to Phildelphia or New York."
  • Chris D.
"Furlong is an enclave in the Doylestown area of suburban Philadelphia close to Princeton, NJ and only 1 and half hours' drive to New York City. Downtown Philadelphia is an hours' drive away. Philadelphia International Airport is an hour away, and Newark Airport 1 hour 15 minutes' drive. JFK airport is a 2 hours' drive, Washington, DC is 3 hours. Furlong is a quiet area with several newer developments (mostly 10-15 years old or less)carved out of farmland, so plenty of greenery, horses, cattle, and some wildlife (deer etc). Downtown Doylestown with all its attractions is only 5 to 10 minutes by car. Overall good shopping and recreational facilities, including the highly regarded and quaint Peddlar's Village in nearby Lahaska (15 mins minutes away). Vey low crime rate; very safe area. 20 minutes to the PA turnpike. Great School District (Central Bucks East; my 3 kids all got into top colleges including IVY League, having gone through the middle and high schools). People are generally nice, in an Eastern Pennsylvania way; you won't find "southern" type hospitality, but overall respectable, well-meaning, and good-natured folks out here. Proximity to NYC as well as downtown Philly are a huge plus. Good health care amenities (Doylestown hospital was recently ranked 2nd in the NATION among like-sized suburban hospitals for cardiac care, out of ~5000 hospitals, if that's any indication...)."

"Quaint towns, lots of green space, outstanding schools, proximity to Princeton & Philly; scheduled SEPTA commuter train/bus to Philly, bus service to NYC. "
