What Locals Say about Rosewood

"a dog park and no gates to keep dogs from running in the street and we need back yards there is no privacy "
  • Themattwilliams
"There’s not many side walks in the more residential streets. But traffic is typically light in the evening. Many houses have dogs in fenced yards, so there is lots barking when I take my dog for a stroll."

"Unique neighborhood personality. Interesting mixture of old/classic and new/modern homes. Short drive to everything exciting around Austin."

"When I found my eastside home in 2000, everyone I knew said I was crazy to buy here (east of Chestnut, next to an abandoned airport) & advised against it. Boy, were they wrong. My neighbors are fantastic, my child grew up here playing safely in our yard and up and down the street since he was under two years old. I was a single mom when I moved in... have never had any issues with crime [I've been known to leave my convertible top down for days :) ]. A healthy, short walk to Patterson Park/Pool, restaurants and shops on Manor; the Mueller development (shops, etc) is famously now just across the road. We have the MLK transit stop almost next door to us and Austin just keeps growing... like it or not. But our little neighborhood is just as quaint and cool as ever!! "

"As an agent specializing in East Austin, I find the area to be so dynamic and diverse. There is so much to do, great places to eat, convenience to downtown, my pick for a great place to call home. Opportunities range from buying a new and modern "green home", to taking on a fixxer upper with a great chance to build equity, to building from scratch on one of the many great view lots available. The secret is out - the East Side is the right side. Let's talk. Scott"
