"Views are amazing and the people are kind. It’s a wonderful place to live… Numerous churches, fabulous library and a very active community center."
  • Kathy K.
"I've been here for 5 years, very friendly family type town. Restaurants and bars are close by. And a friendly neighborhood grocery store. "
  • Johnmjon
"I recently bought a home here because of the proximity to the St. John's River and the Ocala National Forest. Most homes in Astor appear to be mobile or manufactured homes. Some properties in some of the out of the way places are very dilapidated. All services one might need to maintain a home and property are readily available. There are some surprisingly good restaurants. Astor is close to the 3 springs in Ocala National Forest and also close to the Lake George WMA and the Woodruff Wild life refuge. Boating on the river and lake as well as fishing is exceptional. It is a great recreational area. "
  • Customs
"great location for boaters and anyone that loves to live in the outdoors"
