Review Highlights

Albrightsville offers calm Pocono escapes—lakes, trails, gated perks, and quick links to I-80/476. People like quiet, dog-friendly lakeside living with amenities, security, and fast highway access. People dislike spotty schools, few sidewalks, no dog park, long winters, and second-home emptiness.

"I personally do not own a dog, but I do see a lot of people walking dogs. Most dogs seem very friendly. I do take walks around the neighborhood and do see dogs walking around and everyone really picks up after themselves so that’s really good."
  • Kaitlyn Murray
"The neighborhood is great. Vary quiet and friendly. I love stepping outside and hearing nature. Only bad side is that it’s so far from public areas. Like grocery store or shopping centers. Also any food places that deliver will not deliver out here making it difficult"
  • Lisaamcmahan
"Lots of people have dogs and they appear to enjoy the area. We do not have dogs. We have indoor cats"
  • Jacob R.
"Yes it’s a dog friendly place and people keep their dogs on leash and under control. Good walking areas for pups . "
  • Jacob R.
"Lots of dog owners, no sidewalks, however people respect walkers and slow down/move over . Great place to walk around. "
  • Asia S.
"People let their dogs out with no leash. Not always the safest way to be with children around or people with other dogs."
  • Sheilamarie2185
"That the schools in the area aren’t worth anything. The schools don’t care about the kids. The schools also aren’t up to date with Materials. "
  • Luis D. S.
"privacy. retired or hard working neighbors. peaceful place to live. Gated community with lost of activity for the kids "
  • Dave C. J.
"Quick access to all major routes. East, west, south, north. All major hubs are readily accessible. There's even bus transportation to NYC. "
  • Sashatrussell
"There are a lot of open places where you can let ur dog run. People are considerate of your dog when you are out walking with their dogs and seem to love animals. You have to love animals when you live with nature and have the most beautiful of wildlife "
  • Bella.rosa

"the area is peaceful for pets. unless your on a main road in a development there isn't much traffic to worry about with them. lots of local places for swimming and to go on a hike with. only downfall is no dog park and closest doggy daycare is about 30 min away "
  • Coldoaks

  • Coldoaks
"I've lived here for 10 years and enjoy everything from the wildlife to the community activities. with 2 pools and 5 lakes along with the community center there is always something to do. "
  • Paula A.
"I've lived in Penn Forest Township for nearly 11 years. The area is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the Summers when the fawn are born. The winters are cold and long and it's difficult to have a neighborhood feeling when you're closest neighbor only comes up to the mountains to vacation. We're moving to Bangor, PA where the houses may be closer but there is definitely a more community feel."
  • Coldoaks
"I've lived in Indian Mountain lake's now for 8 years. you can't beat the community. We have two pools 5 lakes hiking trail fishing. everything you need to do right here or visit the many nearby attractions "
  • Jennifer S.
"People are very friendly, no matter what part of the neighborhood I'm in everyone waves and talks to you like their your next door neighbor. Everyone posts things on our community website about things happening in the community, whether it be bear sightings or break-ins to good things like fawn sightings and yard sales. "
