We have a lovely townhouse available for rent beginning in late August. The house is located just blocks away from the Capitol, the Rayburn House Office Building, and the Capitol South and Eastern Market Metro stops (each about a 5-minute walk away). The home is located on a wonderful residential block in the heart of Capitol Hill, close to historic Eastern Market, Barrack's Row, restaurants and stores on Pennsylvania Avenue, beautiful parks, and more. It is also a block away from the permanent home of the highly-rated Brent Elementary School, which is the in-bounds school for the home.

The home is super sunny, with high ceilings, an open floor plan, built-ins, hardwood floors, recessed lights, and oversize windows throughout. The home is approximately 1400 square feet, not counting the unfinished basement.

The first floor has an open floor plan comprising the kitchen, dining, and living area. The kitchen has granite counters and a cut out opening it to the rest of the home. The living and dining area is quite large, with many options for configuring furniture. Ten-foot ceilings and a beautiful (decorative only) fireplace make this level the perfect place to relax. There is also a small fenced patio space off the kitchen with room for a grill and a patio table and chair set.

The second floor features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a beautiful bay window and an en suite bath. The second bedroom has windows on two exposures. The third bedroom is smaller (room for a twin-size bed or crib), and could also be used as an office space. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom at the top of the stairs. There is a massive skylight on this level that floods the hallway with light.

The basement is unfinished and contains a washer and dryer. There is also lots of storage space in the basement.
