Our experience at Mills Lawn has gotten worse over the last two years. The 6th grade math teacher does not teach math, she hands out homework with no help, plays favorites and takes weeks to return tests. When you talk to her about your child’s needs, she doesn’t listen. Maybe it’s because she’s a new teacher but it’s quite a frustrating situation. My child hates math because of this experience. I agree with the review below, there is bullying and when you talk to a teacher about it, nothing is done. Parents are not welcomed in this school. There is no family engagement. If I could I’d take my child somewhere else. It’s so disappointing. A better building won’t help this school district. They need teachers who teach and who actually LIKE children.

"I've live here for 1 year and it's a very nice town. great area for families and young people. many great things to do like outdoor activities, restaurants and bars."

"The block abuts the elementary school (playground, public tennis court) and has two apartment buildings. A two minute walk gets you to stores, theater, restaurants, post office, and the bike trail. Families would likely need a house, a bit hard to come by. "

"Our family of 4 spent three wonderful years in this home. Our school- aged boys had plenty of friends to play with, and a school bus that practically picked up at our front door (just to take them to school, down the street and 5min away!). A 15 min walk downtown to shops, schools and the library. A bank, a doctor, and Dollar General right across the street. A job transfer forced us to put the house up for sale, but we couldn't have chosen a better home, and neighborhood, to enjoy our Yellow Springs experience. Miss the home and our lovely neighbors, tremendously!"
