The Echo Park

The experience of being at a regular school has shaped who I am today. I am thankful I did not go to a magnet school. Being a high rank at a regular school is better than being average at a magnet school.

James Bowie was the worst school my children have ever attended. The front office staff is rude and ineffective. Anytime, I had to communicate with them, no one was ever able to be helpful and always provided conflicting information. Student records were requested from a school that my children never attended. There were three bright spots a male 4th grade teacher, the second grade teachers as well as Ms. Dennis who teaches 3rd grade and of course the nurse who proved to be the most helpful. The assistant principal is the rudest most unprofessional administrator that I have ever encountered.... if you are thinking about enrolling your children in this school I would consider anywhere else but here.

So far my experience in this school as a concerned parent has been very positive. My daughter is very shy and I was scared for her at first, but now she loves going to school, specially to a reading class with a teacher name Mr. Sanchez. She always likes to talk about her favorite class. Overall I’m satisfied.
