"decent neighborhood in Portland like to look at the place and department as soon as possible thank you have a good day like to be there for a couple years or longer ASAP"

"not bad but I also don't work in the city 8 work in scarborough so the commute isn't really a plus for my situation. "

"I’ve lived downtown for 2+ years and love it. You can walk out of your apartment for a late night slice, an early morning coffee, and everything you need is within a few blocks. "

"there are concerts and marches. you can easily partake in events in monument square and there is a park down the street that sometimes holds events. there's art festivals and there's first Friday."

"There's a park within walking distance but it is not off leash. The fire department is close by so if your dog is nervous it's something to consider."

"Lots of walkable areas with good lighting at night. Limited green space downtown for doggy business. I don't feel comfortable leaving my dog outside alone while running into grab something. "

"There are dogs always around! Almost always very friendly and the owners are too. A big park nearby that dogs are allowed in!"
- Jeff P.

"This is an awesome location. It's less than a 10 minute commute (by foot) to my office in the old port, with plenty of place to stop on the way for coffee, noshing, or other essentials. There are at least 5 great restaurants within a 100 foot radius, and MECA is almost directly across the street."
- Nancy S.

"We LOVE it here. You have theater and art surrounding you, as well as Old Port right down the block. We feel very safe here -- there are some loud 18 year olds once in a while (Friday & Saturday night) but it's not horrible. The ambulance is louder! I wouldn't trade living here for the more open areas of East or West Ends. I like to be where the action is :)"
