What Locals Say about Downtown

"I’ve lived downtown for about 2 years now, and have loved it. My husband and I own a business on O Street, so it’s super easy to walk or bike to work, in any weather. There is always something within walking or biking distance to do as a couple, or with our 11 year old and two dogs. One common concern of friends and family is that downtown is not “safe”, our street is very brightly lit, and there is always a lot of foot traffic. There are many businesses nearby, with 24/7 surveillance systems, so I, honestly, feel safer than I did living in a very residential neighborhood, previously. "

"Great access to public transportation. Within walking distance to everything. Kinda sketchy at night in some areas. "

"No place for a dog to relieve themselves, besides most pets having to be snuck around because most aren’t allowed."
