"No sidewalks , not enough dog parks for the dogs. Other than that it’s pretty okay for families with pets."
  • Donnaleegraham5
"Not a dog owner! But It’s a peaceful place to jog, walk, and feel safe, at night or daytime. Friendly neighborhood. "
  • Djcipriano
"Anything In historic downtown area. It’s charming and a great place to raise a family. Alive after 5 in downtown is one of my favorites. "
  • Emily M.
"I commute to Charlotte for work everyday. And the traffic isn’t that bad. I live right by the highway, so it takes me just a couple min to get to 85!"
  • Carrie M.
"People are always out walking they’re dogs. Most houses have fenced yards, so we’ve also gotten to know lots of neighbor dogs when we pass them in their yards. There are also several “pick up” stations with poop bags and trash cans."
  • Antonio
"There are sidewalks in most of the places so it’s easy to walk. People go slow and most of the neighborhoods so it seems pretty safe to walk."
  • Laura
"I've lived in this town for 21 years. This is not a subdivision so most homes have more property and homes are spaced apart from each other."
  • Sheenakivette
"Events like movies in the park, pool parties, potlucks, charitable causes, social gatherings, game nights, etc. "
  • Laura
"My neighborhood has great access to transportation. There is minimal traffic in Belmont during rush hour."

  • RobertT
"To downtown Belmont, I’m less than a minute driving and 5 minutes walking. My commute to Uptown Charlotte is very reasonable. Very easy access to I-85 and then 485. "
  • Sonya-lee B.
"I live in South Fork Village it has a bar and boutique along with a scuba shop and art store. It is a safe area but it is too expensive!"
  • Curtis R.

"moved here in apr 2017. calm environment with respectable citizens. plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. close to highway 85and 485. "
  • Tricia V.
"This is a wonderful "bedroom" community where there are always people walking, biking and jogging on the sidewalks. Historic downtown is alive with a variety of restaurants and shops. Very pet friendly, dog watering bowls along the sidewalks, a vet and dog boutique. Stowe Park has a very nice playground, walking trails, picnic tables, a wired pavillion, free summertime movies, restrooms & water fountains. There are many areas for throwing a football and enjoying family picnics. A wide variety of cafes and restaurants offer many choices for satisfying every craving. COME VISIT BELMONT!!!!!!!!"
  • Danielle P.
"These homes are gorgeous and you can't beat the location! This specific owner doesn't allow pets which was the ONLY reason we couldn't make it our home. Would be great for a young couple such as ourselves who want to be close to uptown, but still have a friendly neighborhood feel. "
