"The convenience and the friendly community. Also the diversity of culture and people. Should be cleaner and safer than actually is...I don’t feel safe walking home at midnight after work."

"There's a number of pro dog shops, and a lot of water bowls outside of shops for the dogs. Lots of interesting walking areas and small parks. It does get very cold in the winter though, so it's good to check that where you're going will allow your dog."

"We're easily accessed by the Red Line, so it's super easy to get to. It's walkable from across the river in Allston too."

"There's a lot of diversity and culture. We have so many different types of restaurants, owned and run by members of the culture the food comes from. There's a dance studio, the graffiti alley, and live jazz. The crosswalk next to town hall is rainbow. Food Not Bombs sets up weekly."

"Our library has a lot of good stuff for kids, with an entire floor dedicated to YA and children's literature. There are a lot of homeless people and many of them struggle with addictions, so it's not necessarily the safest to let your kids run around unsupervised after daylight hours."

"Cambridgeport still has the feel of a village but it's steps away from all the excitement of Cambridge and Boston. Incredibly easy to get to Boston by bike or T or car. The Red Line is 3 minutes away. Matt Damon grew up across the street!"

"I have lived here since 1978 and have seen it evolve from always being a cultural melting pot of race, class, and income. What it has always been is a real neighborhood with neighbors who care and are involved in their surroundings. I raised my family here and am still here as an elder. It is now a more upscale neighborhood with many renovations and condo conversions. many families with children and many pets. The parks are great and the local dog park is well used. there are also many restaurants and nightlife nearby in Central Sq. The public transportation is very close and user friendly. As a senior, I love my neighborhood and would recommend it to both young and old."

"Cambridgeport is relatively safe, 5 minutes to Back Bay or Harvard Sq., and has many old single-family homes. There are a lot of families, lots of parks, and it is close to the river. The only drawback? Super expensive!"
