8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter graduated from Art & Design high school in 2022 and had a great experience. It was a safe environment, the students were supportive of each other and I didn't see any issues with bullying, the teachers were nurturing and supportive. The kids loved art, but there were also good academic classes and AP classes but a large focus on visual arts classes. Staff and principal does a good job of helping students prepare for college. The new principal is great !Parent Review2y ago14 Reviews - Ps 59 Beekman Hill International

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience was disappointing to say the least. My children regressed in the three years in PS 59. Did not receive any proper instructions in K and 1st grade, school was all play time, no work, inexperienced teachers. Some families left for low level of academic instructions, some because their children got bullied and the issues were not addressed.Parent Review2y ago15 Reviews - Jhs 104 Simon Baruch

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI DONT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL, THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL HAVES FAVORITISM TOWARDS KIDS THAT DONT HAVE IEP, THE STAFF CALLS ALL THE TIME FOR THINGS THAT NOT AN EMERGENCY, INSTEAD OF IMPORTANT THINGS THAT ALWAYS LAST MINUTE. THE TEACHERS RESPOND LATE, THE TEACHERS DONT HELP THE STUDENTS THEY PREFER ANOTHER STUDENT TO HELP INSTEAD, WHEN KIDS BULLY OTHER KIDS THEY DONT HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE, THE AMOUNT OF FAVORITISM IN THIS SCHOOL IS HUGE AND THE STAFF ARE ALL UNPROFESSIONAL. IF YOUR CHILD HAVES An IEP DONT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE, HE/SHE WON'T GET THE RIGHT EDUCATION.Parent Review1mo ago36 Reviews - Check out schools near 845 3rd Ave.

"Across the street from Tudor City Park and UN. Near Grand Central Station, Bryant Park and Times Square. Near NYU and Bellevue hospitals. Near AMC Lowes movie theatre. Quietest place in Manhattan. Safe too with lots of police patrols. Dog friendly. Be in the heart of everything and in walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. Supermarkets here aren't that great though and they are expensive. "

"Not many good playgrounds in the area. Central Park is the closest park and it’s far to walk there. Need a cab or uber."
