3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is going into 7th grade and her first year at EDMS was great! She had EXCELLENT teachers and the Principal and staff were so welcoming and supportive. It's middle school - which is literally the worst - but, overall my daughter made great friends, learned new things, and excelled! There were a couple of issue with other students, but admin was quick to help and make things better. I appreciated the time they took to listen and respond. It has to be hard, and they handled everything very well. We're glad we're at EDMS!Parent Review2y ago18 Reviews - Mt. Diablo High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school, just came there and Im an freshman. Rgeardless people are going to say this is a bad school. IT IS NOT. They are very welcoming and nice. They have JROCT, cooking, Public speaking or Debate team/class and more. MUptiple luages classes like French, Spanish and Mandorian chinnise. Tons of sports Football, basketball, tenniss and volleyball track too! The techers are pretty nice they tey to help out as much as they can just ask them. The food her is AWSOME. For kids who have food issues they let anyone and everyone get as much as they need/want they should know the limits. Bring your kid here its awsome!!!Student Review4y ago6 Reviews - Sun Terrace Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can only speak from our own experience and My children had a horrible time here. Their first teacher quit a month into the school year and the school offered no explanation or support with the questions of of 4-5 years olds not understanding why their teacher left without a goodbye. They had a sub for the remainder of the year. Then another teacher leaves on maternity leave suddenly a month into the school year again a sub for the rest of the year who also takes several days off weekly, having even more subs. Principle also leaves for another position at another school. Then when they (new principal and barely there teachers) feel like they can’t force a child to sit down or shut up they schedule an SST meeting for the teacher to not even bother to show up only for the rest of staff to show up to say maybe we’ll meet again next year, because the children was above grade level on test scores, they knew they had nothing only bored children who’s already reading and doing math above their peers. They also want to encourage parents conflict and offer parents each others phone numbers when kids get into altercations in the school, this following an incident where a parent died on campus after a conflict that ended with them having a heart attack. I hope others have a better experience but I can’t say I’d recommend this school to anyone after the last 3 years we’ve endured there.Parent Review2w ago21 Reviews - Check out schools near 2049 Olivera Rd.

"Bonifacio is a very busy street. There are three very large annoying speed bumps right by the house There’s a dog park that you can walk to so there’s a lot of traffic from that it as well. It is a main thoroughfare through Concord. There are too many cars parking in that street. Parking is hard to find. "

"The school district is above average compared to surrounding areas. Plenty of parks and recreational areas to take children. The farmers market in Downtown Concord is extremely family friendly. "

"Was a nice area but it’s slowly going back to being an average area. With cops down the street nightly."

"North Concord is safe if your like me and ignore drama and turn a blind eye to a lot of crime going on, as long as it doesn’t affect me right? That’s how Concord is. "

"I’ve lived here 7 years and our neighbors watch out for each other. There are lots of renters and very few homeowners. The HOA is power hungry and run by the same ridiculous people every year. "

"I work from home, so I can’t really speak to what the commute is like from where I live. I imagine getting from Concord to San Fran or Oakland for work would be a nightmare. Rush hour traffic going to and from the city is miserable. If I do travel, I plan to travel around rush hour traffic. It’s tough going through Walnut Creek as well. "

"All of my neighbors I can see from my front porch have lived in their houses for over 20 years. We have a very old, settle feel in our neighborhood. A place where people look out for one another. You always see the same people walking their dogs or kids riding their bikes."
