"Silver room block party and beer fest to name 2 of my favorites. The 57th Street book fair and the art fair are also huge. October fest and the chosen few house picnic are must attend events in the area."

"We have plant sales and book sales and pancake day. There are many outdoor concerts and free lectures. The community has free transportation to numerous and diverse music events. There is a neighborhood indoor Halloween party. Movies are shown in the park and on various blocks. Various groups meet and spring clean the parks and playgrounds. Etc,etc."

"15 min access to the loop by train or bus available as well. Also buses available to get around the neighborhood. I commute to NW Indiana only 35 mins and W suburbs are easy as well. "
