    "None that I can think of within last 30 years. Country club is only gathering space. More so for elderly. HOA is useless and targets the wrong homeowners. Does not bother the loud or messy homeowners. Only the 80 year old people who aren’t able to mow their lawn as often as the HOA would like. "

    "It’s a laid back riverside community of backwoods locals, retirees, plus visitors coming to enjoy the river and gulf, including fishing, scalloping, and beautiful scenery, living in strained harmony. The locals were devastated by the state constitutional amendment banning gill-netting of mullet fish and never fully recovered. Drugs intervened, and continue to be a problem for natives. It is a golf-cart community, so one may get around legally in a cart, but a car is needed to access anything more than a mini-mart as far a shopping goes. There are many good local eateries, waterfront honkeytonks, bait shops and watercraft rental businesses. It is quiet, pleasant, and pretty peaceful. A gardener’s paradise."
