"A community surrounded by beautiful homes, friendly neighbors, and an adorable main street to grab a coffee in the morning or stroll the shops. It’s a perfect place to raise a family. "
  • Stephgass18
"this is a safe place to live. you can have nice neighbors. there is no racism here. lots of land for hunting and hiking and camping with family and friends. "
  • Omaraross
"There are alot of dog owners in the area. Most of the dog owners are friendly people. There are, however, no receptacles for pet waste. Overall, most dog owners would like living in this area. "
  • Fryecl8
"It's as smooth a commute as you get to downtown in the area. It's half an hour to downtown, a little longer at peak rush hour. the roads are well maintained in winter. You do run into some flooding on 65 going into the city when it's raining hard."
  • Itisjk
"Everything is within walking distance. There is a wonderful library, post office, shopping, dining, churches, cinema, coffee shops and supermarket. "
  • Anna N.
"easy, straight shot to downtown pgh. clean bus, nice drivers, no problems. many people use the bus to go to work in the city, or sporting events in the city. "
  • Molly D.
"There are many dogs in the area and sidewalks that make me it convenient to walk dogs! There are also poop bags in the neighborhood. "
  • Cindy S.
"I have lived in Bell Acres for 6 years. It's beautiful green space and privacy appeals to me. Taxes are higher, but school are strong and police & fire are first rate! They are extremely responsive! "
  • Nancy K.
"Dog owners would like the fact that other dog owners are friendly and like to talk and visit while walking their dog. "
  • Tonia_rocks
"Lots of dogs and people are always friendly walking them. Stores are even dog friendly. Lots of cute neighborhoods to walk through and trails. Also parks in Various areas and most People are comfortable if you let them off the leash. "
  • Carla N.
"Light up night during Christmas and local sports activities. Also everybody knows your name! Like in Cheers!! "
  • Laura
"Easy commute to my job on the north shore. Access to major highways. Direct route to downtown. Some normal congestion at rush hour. "
  • Annie W.
"There’s often not a lot of traffic in most neighborhoods that aren’t on major roads. There are so many parks and public areas to play in, and it’s a beautiful area to grow up in!"
  • Tamim S.
"It’s nice place to live with family schools are great and good hospitals near around and very close to downtown "
  • Carla N.
"I’ve found everyone to be very friendly who care about their homes, neighbors and community at large. "
  • Barbaracarrier
"You see people walking their dogs from early morning to late at night . There is a small wooded park in easy walking distance from homes."
  • Carla N.
"I’ve been visiting my husband’s Mom here for 28 years and always loved the town. So when we downsized 5 months ago, we happily moved here!!"
  • Sheri e.
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 10 years. My neighbors are kind and helpful. The area is heavily forested and hilly. The municipality does a great job keeping the roads clear of snow in the winter."
  • Stephen K.
"Private location, yet close to shopping and interstate. Excellent Avonworth school system."
  • Wbatman
"I just wanted to share my thoughts on the Sewickley area. I love living here, the people are so nice and its such a safe area. There is always something going on in town especially for holidays and there is always a lot of community involvement noted. In the manor where we are located there is parking for guest more so than the other areas in the plan and we are closest to the basketball court and tennis court. We would happily live here forever but need to move closer to family due to the birth of our first baby."
  • Jessica B.
"We have lived in Sewickley Village for the past 12 years and it has been such a great place to raise our large family. Our seven children can walk the dog safely around the neighborhood daily, we're within a couple blocks of the library, YMCA, shops, friends, even the dentist and pediatrician. We did decide to move our kids to a school in the North Hills this year and the long commute, plus a new job for me with another long commute is the driving force for the move. All our kids friends are now in the North hills and we find ourselves in the car more than walking, so the village no longer makes sense for us. I can highly recommend it though if you are looking to move into the QV school system! Village living can't be beat! Best of luck with your home search."
