8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageParents, pay attention to what your child is learning at Hardin Valley Elementary.I trusted this school to educate my child. We moved to this area so our daughter could go to this school. Instead, I spent the entire year fighting with her teacher and admin to get answers, raising concerns, and sending emails that often went nowhere. The class as a whole fell behind and no one cared. They want to sweep it all under the rug for the image. They don't return emails and msg. Parent square will get you nowhere. My biggest regret is that I trusted the school. By the time I realized how far behind my child had fallen, valuable learning time had already been lost.A good school works with parents. A good school responds when concerns are raised. A good school takes responsibility when students are struggling. I wished I pulled out of HVE sooner because this school doesn't value any of those things. If your child attends this school, don't assume everything is fine just because report cards look okay. Her teacher didn't teach her for 3 months and told admin she isn't grading things for months because she doesn't know how and the grades still magically showed up. Admin covers it all. I wish someone had warned me.Parent Review1mo ago12 Reviews - Hardin Valley Academy

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Hardin Valley a few years back and it was a great experience but it has gone downhill. With the new principal and staff my siblings have faced discrimination. Recently I went to the school and encountered a rude office staff. I wasn’t aware one couldn’t bring drinks from the outside and she gave me attitude about it, when I had told her I didn’t know. She proceeded to say “she wasn’t going to allow it” and looked down on me for not knowing. Before office staff were so nice and kind, now everything is changing.Other Review3y ago22 Reviews - Hardin Valley Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this middle school for 3 years and most of the teachers were really good. The best teachers were Ms. Lady and Mr. Dirmeyer. If you disliked this school you probably had a bad teacher and there are like only a few so, yeah, good.(His mom agrees that HVMS was a great school for him.) :)Student Review6mo ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 1951 English Ivy Ln #GU21Z8.

"I am retired so work commute is n/a. We live in a very convenient area of town so commute to shopping, restaurants, airport, lake, parks all close and easy. We just stay off the interstate! "

"Houses are older, but very well maintained houses and yards. Good size lots. Great mix of ages and other demographics live here. Neighbors out at night in the yards and waving. Reminds me of home long time ago. "

"I grew up in this neighborhood. Wish very much to move back. But at 64 yrs of age, not gonna happen. But, the lucky person to obtain this home will be very satisfied. Great neighborhood, great schools and very nice home. Wish you luck on your journey. Rambling Acres is a great place to live. And I'm sure the Landlord will be the same, Great"

"Sequoyah Hills is a fantastic neighborhood that dates from the 1930s. It was designed in a very forward-thinking way that makes living there possible for many demographics. On the other hand, a lot of tear-downs are happening, with normal houses being replaced by mansions. "

"My neighborhood is more like a family of community. Everybody works as one if one doesn’t have it. The other may have it. We just try to uplift each other to the best of our abilities because we believe that everybody deserves a second chance at life."

"If you’re a woman walking your dog/dogs alone no matter what time of day please be aware of surroundings. I was followed to my home by a man & he had to have ran because once I noticed him keeping pace behind me I started running. He actually knew where I lived already & beat me there because he was in my back yard area when I walked through the door and went to the back to lock it. Other than that sidewalks are good for the doggies. Too much fast moving traffic as well on the roads in residential areas. "

"Walk to breweries, cute shops, good places to eat, and the last Sunday market. The local school for K-5 is special, great and place for young children. The park on the river offers a great playground and convenient place to put kayaks in the river."
