5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagedowling middle school was an ok school. it could use some improvement. when they get that 5,000 dollars all they going to do is use it for their pay checks. they should use it to hire better janitors. they need to paint the bathroom stalls. the school has to much graffitti. i would not send my kids thier. they have to much fights. they dont teach what the kids need to know for the staar test either. this school is bad.Parent Review12y ago10 Reviews - Worthing High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorthing is by far one of the worst schools I've ever attended. And I am EMBARRASSED to say I graduated from here. I attended this school for 2 years, and ive never experienced anything like it before. During my experience there, kids were maced, fights breaking out 4 times a week, forced lockdowns, unfair treatment, drug and gang violence, unsanitary bathrooms, weapons being brought into the school, bullying from staff and other students, discrimination towards the latino students, unacceptable relationships between students and teachers, familes fighting in front of the school's parking lot, and we were never given any homework to take home for practice. There was a clear bias between the people in authority and the student athletes, I could say more, but that was just the main things. This school was absolutely horrible! However, the resources at this school were prevalent. I got to experience things I haven't experienced before, and I am greatful for those parts, but just the school as a whole without any outside help? Beyond Terrible. Wouldn't recommended you enroll your kids here.Other Review3w ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near 811 Marcona Dr #9R9QML.

"Do owners like when other dogs owner pick up after their dogs. They don’t like that the neighborhood doesn’t have a dog park for their dogs to run around and play."

"So unfortunately with the current status of our situation we do not and more than likely will not have any occurring events that make our neighborhood special although we do have a great church community unifying us as a community and as well as a great park ecosystem ."

"Located near main highways, it is easy to commute anywhere you need to around Houston relatively quickly, especially since going into town from the east side goes against traffic."

"Sometimes there's gunshots. It keeps things exciting. Last night I though the house down the road was involved in a drive by, but as it turns out, their kids had leftover fireworks."

"I've lived at my current address for 15 years. I live around the corner from my mom's house where I grew up. I left for 11years when I joined the military. My mom has lived in this neighborhood for 40+ years. One if the main reasons I moved here besides to be close to mom is that it has never flooded."

"Too many stray dogs in area. Not safe to walk alone, or with small dogs. Walking stick required. Don't walk alone at night. "

"I've lived in the area for almost 2 years. It's not a quiet area at all and heavy traffic daily. The commute to downtown takes about 30 minutes during the week if you leave early enough. "

"Didn't flood during Harvey. It's growing, getting nicer, cleaner, every year. No gangs or high rate crime area. They're building more businesses, schools, libraries, etc."

"It's peaceful and safe. Also my house never gets flooded, only my street. It also is a short commute to my job. Our neighbors are respectful."

"This place is a little known gem in Houston! It takes me 10 minutes to drive to Houston Medical center from this neighborhood, and a little over 13 minutes to drive to the galleria. I can get to NRG park (formally reliant Park) in no time at all, and there are so many ways to the above mentioned places that I can avoid freeways if necessary. The area is very quiet and many of my acquaintances often comment on that when they visit me. My neighborhood HOA is pretty active and keeps an eye on community affairs. All in all, commute is good and area is pretty decent."

"This is a beautiful up-and-coming area where house prices are sure to rise! Great access to downtown Houston and the Medical Center!"
