Recently, the State of South Carolina has instituted a penny tax to add more sidewalks in our neighborhood and they being constructed now. There are wide walk paths and generally are well lighted. The small community is encapsulated with many smaller subdivision that are well suited for walking dogs for long walks. Hopkins is situated approximately 10 east of the Columbia urban and suburban are which makes easily accessible to veterinarians and emergency animal hospitals."
