ICF - Insulated Concrete Forms, Interlocking Styrofoam forms, insulated inside and out, that are filled with concrete and Rebar. ICF homes are constructed to handle all types of disasters. Fire, Tornado, Hurricane. They have a higher energy efficiency rate and are quieter than a stick built home. The cost runs about 16% more than a 6 inch stud wall, but the overall savings from utilities and the sound reduction is worth it!
