Francis Bean Cobain, the daughter of late Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love has just made the very grown up purchase of a $1,825,000 home in Los Angeles in a coveted Hollywood Hills location. According to the in-the-know Real Estalker and property records, the deal closed on July 27, 2011.

The acrimonious relationship between Cobain and her well-known mom has played out in the press over the last few years, so it’s no surprise the newly-legal teen is getting a crib of her own. The listing information for Cobain’s new home shows it measures 3,350 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The two-story house, was built in 1930 and was designed by famed architect Carl Jules Weyl. The home retains most of the original architectural details, including hand-forged iron work, colorful decorative tiles, numerous stained and leaded glass windows, hand-stenciled wood beams, and vintage light fixtures and hardware.

Other amenities include built-in cabinetry, carved wood moldings, beautiful mosaic inlay, ornamental window grills. The house is punctuated by balconies and decorative ironwork accents on the exterior. The spacious living room is highlighted by a fireplace, stenciled beams and leaded windows. A separate media room adjoins the all Viking-appliance kitchen, which captures today’s standards with a vintage flair, complete with a farmhouse sink, a huge walk-in pantry and breakfast room. The large master has a separate dressing area, generous closets and a spectacularly tiled bath. A great outdoor patio can be enjoyed in the lush pool-sized rear yard. A detached garage has been converted to a studio or office.
