Fleetwood Mac’s John McVie is Selling His Brentwood Hideaway

Snag this sweet Southern California spread for a song.

Legendary bass guitarist, John McVie, just put his Brentwood, CA home on the market with an asking price of $2,995,000. McVie literally made a name for himself by combining his surname, along with Mick Fleetwood, to create Fleetwood Mac’s iconic name. The legendary band netted McVie a fortune, which he has invested in numerous estates in swank, warm-weather locales.

McVie just listed this two-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,150 square foot Brentwood home after upgrading to a much larger 5,500 square foot spread down the road, which he purchased for $6,775,000 in April 2017.

What draws McVie to Brentwood time and time again? Brentwood may be the idyll that out-of-towners imagine Los Angeles to be: land of beautiful, healthy people drinking green juices after finishing a SoulCycle class. Old-school glamour lives strong in the quaint shops and carefully curated dining found at the Brentwood Country Mart, once familiar stomping grounds for the likes of Joan Crawford and Elizabeth Taylor.

Sound like the perfect neighborhood for you? Consider McVie’s just-listed home, which once belonged to renowned American novelist, Raymond Chandler.

Tranquil and nestled on a quiet tree lined cul-de-sac near the heart of Brentwood Village, the property’s crown jewel is a recent masterfully designed detached glass studio/guest house with heated concrete floors, Moroccan tiles, solar panels and bathroom. Offering the very best in both traditional and modern architectural elements and refined living space, the home has a newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, and outside, lush, private gardens in both front and back yards.

McVie also owns in West Hollywood and in Honolulu, Hawaii.
