"I do not use public transportation but it is available. If needed without traffic it is 15 - 20 minutes by car to downtown "
  • Suepeff
"Only one way in and out. Only people who live here come in our neighborhood. Family oriented, dogs and children everywhere. We live here so we are aware of the kids, we drive slow and are always looking out for them. "
  • Samantha L.
"Most side streets aren’t very busy and could be used to walk a dog easily. Most neighbors learn your dog’s name and love to say hi to them when walking. There are no sidewalks which can be dangerous on busy streets. "

"Everyone has a dog. See lots walking. We all know each other’s dog’s names but not the people’s names. Lol. Some people do not pick up after their dogs, though. Super annoying. "

"We have lived here for 10 years and really love it! It's relatively safe here in Shaler. when Halloween comes, we are not afraid to let our children go trick or treating. There are a mixture of age groups here also. Right now we are having our Street Fair for Cherry City."
  • Katefall13
"Excellent location! You can be in and out of Pittsburgh within minutes. Riverfront Park is one town away providing an excellent trail along the river into the city. Although there aren't many restaurants within the township, the ones near are excellent (Alioto's) and Waterworks is a short drive away! It is very safe and pet friendly."
