"augusta is my favorite place to visit, when i saw this listing i could not believe my eyes! it took me back 60 years when my mother and father used to take my 3 sisters and i on the long, hot, windy rides from richnond heights, mo. to that icredible little white church on the hill in augusta for our yearly chicken and dumplin dinner. i could smell the chicken a mile away! growing up in the city certainly had it's advantages, my friends and i would walk to forest park and either spend the day at the zoo or fishing. we walked everywhere or took a bus, but i sure don,t remember ever being bored! once we would get to augusta we would spend the day at the old school looking at all the careful loving crafts the women had made. i fell in love with this town the first time i saw it as a small child. i have taken many, many trips there during all seasons for each season holds its own beauty. there is not a friend or relative of mine who has not driven with me for a day and night in augusta! this summer my goal is to have an old fashion family and friend picnic there followed by some good music and dance.
