Malvern School

The teachers are this school are great. My kids always love their teachers and love going to school. The problem is the leadership. They have a new director every 3 months(not even kidding) and they are always rude and incapable of communicating with people. There has been some good ones but they didn't last long. Over the last year it has been corporate robot after corporate robot. They need to pay more money to find qualified people, but they need to get the corporate robots out of there.

I searched for a pre-K program and daycare after my daughter's previous daycare closed. I did quite a bit of research and visiting before choosing The Malvern School in KOP. It has now been 4 months, and I cannot be happier with my choice. First, the facility. Open, airy, cheery, kid-centered, windows into every room from the hall (including the admin office. Very nice outside area. They have a "common" area for the older kids (also one downstairs for the little kids) with tons of toys, computers, crafts, books, etc. This leaves the classrooms for learning and focused organized activities. Second, the curriculum. I visited this school 3 times during the morning, and the morning pre-school time is structured and focused. The afternoon (including rest time) is a bit more play and free time from my understanding. I feel this program will prepare her well for kindergarten next year. Third, communication. Excellent! I get a personalized email at the end of every day outlining the curriculum for the day as well as what my child did for lunch and nap. Fourth, the teachers. All are highly qualified, but more importantly, seem to really love their jobs.
