Strong academics and a warm, family environment makes this the school for our children. We planned public school in our very good district, but we decided to give Prince of Peace a try as our local school was not offering aftercare then (Prince of Peace does). What a wonderful experience it has been. My children have made great friends and are so happy with school. The work can be challenging, but the children learn to work hard to succeed. There is a good variety of field trips, advanced academics, extra help for children requiring it, and a full complement of specials classes (art, music, etc.). The middle school sports program is also wonderful. The school has a very active and dedicated group of volunteering parents, and terrific activities that raise funds while providing fun. The principal is actively involved in all aspects of the school--including staying late for meetings, concerts, and school events. While no school is perfect, Prince of Peace is full of special people and high standards. We cannot imagine being anywhere else.

What a wonderful education my children are receiving at Prince of Peace. The administration and teaching staff have provided the academic excellence and moral community in which my children thrive every day. We are so blessed to have a place where our children are welcomed and known by all that enter the doors of Prince of Peace.

Please note Prince of Peace has an Open House this weekend, and the previous post is very suspicious, trashing a previous Open House at the beginning of the weekend of the next one. The poster says he/she pays the Principal's salary, but does not send her children to the school (so how does she pay?) and only was in the school for a hour or two during an Open House, he/she claims. I would never feel that I had any amount of sufficient knowledge to post a review on any school based on only an Open House visit and not sending my kids there, but this poster does not have a problem with that. This poster was so scared by an one hour open house experience that she had to come back six months later and post about her grief? Please recognize this post for what it is. Prince of Peace is a great school where my children are flourishing. It is a great community and we are lucky to send our kids there. Al the parents make sacrifices to send their kids there, and when you have kids coming from a sacrificial environment at home it is refelctive in the culture and makes for a special school.

Very happy with Pre-K through 1st grade so far. Wasn't going to post but read some of these negative reviews and thought they were very unfair. They seem more bitter than helpful. The Principal works very long hours, always accessible and very dedicated to the school, and more importantly the students. She knows every student's name. Have heard nothing but good things about the new teachers that came in last year when the Diocese offered early retirement packages to current teachers across the Diocese. My child has had one of the new teachers and we are very indebted to her for her efforts with our child.

Prince of Peace was the perfect choice for my son. His classroom size is small (only 16 kids), the teachers are professional and helpful, and he received needed speech therapy services at the school during the day without any problem. The assigned homework is challenging, yet not overwhelming. There are ample opportunities for parents to become involved. If you want your child to have more than an education, this is the school to choose. I recommend it without reservation to all.
