Read what parents are saying about The Lorge SchoolLorge School deserves nothing more than a one-star rating. The management is shockingly lackluster, displaying a complete disregard for effective leadership and communication. It's evident that they are more interested in maintaining the status quo than in fostering a positive and engaging work environment. To make matters worse, the so-called union at Lorge School is nothing but a poor excuse. They fail to address employee concerns, leaving us feeling unsupported and undervalued.Working at Lorge School feels like committing to a void of nothingness. There is no real sense of purpose in the job, and it's disheartening to see such a lack of direction. Without a clear vision or goals, it's impossible to create a positive and impactful educational environment. As a result, the children are set up for failure rather than success. Outdated resources, disengaged staff, and a disregard for individual needs hinder their growth and development.Adding insult to injury, my position as an employee at Lorge School means absolutely nothing. In this supposedly non-profit institution, there is no recognition, appreciation, or opportunity for growth. It's demoralizing to work in an environment where your efforts are deemed inconsequential. Additionally, the virtually non-existent family support at this establishment further exacerbates the challenges faced by both staff and students. In conclusion, Lorge School falls far short of providing a nurturing and supportive educational environment. The lackluster management, ineffective union, absence of purpose, failure to set children up for success, and insignificance of employee positions make it a truly disappointing place to work. I strongly advise against considering this establishment for employment or entrusting your child's education to their care.
Posted by a community member on 6/20/2023I am very pleased as a parent with the Lorge School my son Reese attends and has two awesome teachers.I have seen a dramatic change in his behavior since receiving a quality education and services. Dr. Haywood and David Osmon coming in to your school building you both are a true ray of sunshine to all students and families. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being positive and professional people at your school. All staff members at the Lorge school Kudos for a well job done !! Keep up the great work. My family has found a second home for Reese where he is loved, and surrounded around true professionals. I am so glad i .taken Reese out of public school and choosen your schoo lI have observed the big difference between public schools and private. private school has more patience for students with disabilities. Thank you so much _ I am so overwhelmed with the love, caring, and delicate care to all students at the Lorge School. I am looking forward to working with you all through out the years to come. Have a great day!!

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm astounded by the level of education at this school. My son is in Kindergarten G&T and is already reading. He has light homework which he does independently. He participates in after-school activities M-F and loves every activity/instructor. I always enjoyed school growing up and I'm so glad that PS 11 is fostering the same excitement around learning for my son.Parent Review5mo ago - Guardian Angel School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been at Corlears for 5 years, starting with the 2s program and now in elementary. I have seen both my children flourish, emotionally and intellectually and we are very happy here.Children are taught to be curious and enthusiastic learners, who are constantly seeking knowledge and asking questions. My second grader devours books and solves math problems with her 4 year old sibling for fun. Graduates go on to their top choice schools. The teachers and administrators know every child well, and because of individualised attention, are able to meet children where they are at. Whenever I have had any concerns about my kids developmentally or behaviourally, the teachers were able to speak to that and address it. Overall, it’s a diverse warm and welcoming community. The board is open for anyone, and a lot of thought is given to creating a diverse board from a racial, socio-economic and experience perspective.Parent Review5mo ago - City Country School
