Read what parents are saying about Christ The King Elementary SchoolHere is what the teachers say about their own school: The Student to Teacher ratio in core subjects is 11:1. That is a huge advantage to the students.Split classes in middle school with advanced courses in each subject.Lesson from the pandemic: smaller class sizes benefited children. We have that here every day.AIS support is focused in the classroom. The teachers collaborate to find what is best for the student. The Wilson Program, available for the whole school, is very valuable.Foreign language: Spanish starting in Kindergarten. Latin in Middle School.Sports: All children are included. None are cut. Whether the child is "sporty" or not they are included on the team and see playing time. Many sports to choose from at an early age.Strong active Sports Boosters group. There is enthusiasm and respect amongst the players. The core curriculum teachers are with the kids all through Middle School. They don't have to spend the month of September figuring out the children's aptitude. They know them from Day 1.Public Speaking: they gain experience in a comfortable way throughout their time at our school. Reading in church. Start on stage in the 3rd grade with the play. There are no cuts in the Arts.Small community means comfort is built in. New students are immediately welcomed and become part of the fabric quickly.Parents make friends here for life also. Strong bonds are formed among the parents.Ceremonies are beautiful and meaningful. "How but in custom and in ceremony are innocence and beauty born?" William Butler Yeats.National Junior Honor SocietyMusic and the Arts: Fantastic music instruction with an accomplished teacher.In-school lessons for band and orchestra instruments: Clarinet, Flute, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Violin, Drums, Guitar, Bass as well as Voice, Piano, Violin and UkuleleAll students perform as a member of a class choir for the Christmas Nativity Play and are taught solfege and music reading in weekly music classes.Focus is on the whole child. We are mothers to them all. They don't get lost in the crowd. Academics and emotional health are both important. The faculty love their jobs and want what is best for each child.I can not get over how welcoming everyone is here. The teachers, the staff, and the families; everyone is welcoming and joyful!
Posted by a parent on 2/14/2022My wife and I are both from excellent public schools districts and never thought our children would attend a private school. My children receive top notch education at CTK and the kids are there for each other. CTK not only teaches the basic classes, but they also teach ethics, morals, and character. They are also leading the pack in STREAM education.
Posted by a parent on 1/28/2019My husband and I both attended public school as children. While we both received great educations, we wanted something even more for our kids. Christ the King School provides that, and more! It's a warm, nurturing environment where everyone knows everyone. The older kids know the younger kids by name and always look out for them. Both of our children are excelling academically and I know they will be fully prepared to enter high school.
Posted by a parent on 2/2/2017I am a proud parent of two children at Christ the King School. My youngest is in the full day PreK program and I really couldn't say enough about how wonderful I think this program is. If you are thinking about sending your 4 year old to an all day program, I highly recommend considering CTK. The program fosters learning through play, creativity and fun....which is exactly what Pre-K should be about. Each day my child comes home and tells me about his day, the new friends that he's made and how wonderful the teachers are. I truly believe he will be fully ready for kindergarten next year. My older child is now in First Grade. I can tell that they are learning so much each week; however, it is not overwhelming at all. He doesn't mind sitting down and doing his homework every night. I truly believe that the teachers are fostering a love of learning in the early grades, where it is most needed. The student to teacher ratio is small enough so that the children receive personal attention. They are setting the children up for success later on. In addition to the wonderful teachers, the administration and the involvement from the parents is remarkable. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants their children to receive a high quality Catholic Education.
Posted by a parent on 10/31/2016CTK not only has strong academics, but it also has a strong community. There are several events held throughout the year where families can come together, socialize and have fun. The teachers truly care about their students. My son's teachers have always been approachable and proactive when he was having academic issues. My interactions with Mr. Zalacca, the school principal, have shown me that he is passionate about the success and happiness of the students. I would highly recommend CTK to any perspective parent.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school. I graduated from here and moved in the district after having children so they also could go here. Most of the teacher care so much about the students and go above and beyond for them. I’d never change schools.Parent Review4y ago - St Joseph University School
