Read what parents are saying about Santa Fe Waldorf SchoolI am truly happy with the overall experience with SFWS and greatly recommend this school to everyone.
Posted by a parent on 3/19/2018All 3 of my children have been schooled in the Waldorf curriculum their entire education. This curriculum is diverse and deep and offers students an opportunity to learn more about themselves through academics, wilderness experiences, handwork (knitting, sewing, carding and dyeing wool, etc...) woodwork, musical instruction and more. I highly recommend that you explore this school to see if it is the right fit for your family.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school I believe does not want to listen to the parents about how the teachers conduct and integrity is lacking. The Nurse is mazing and the Kindergarten and 1st grade homeroom teachers are great. But the Principal, secretary and the PE teacher have issues that for as a parent is concerning. I may transfer my child to another school.Parent Review2y ago - Little Earth School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've had two kids at this school and wanted to contribute my positive review. The diversity issue is huge in Santa Fe, but I actually feel that LMM is more proactive than many other places in trying to address it. I see a variety of different ethnicities represented in each class. The pueblos are better represented here than at other private schools I visited. I definitely would like to see more people of color, but I think a lot of that comes down to Santa Fe as a city being too homogenous. I hope this will change, but it will take time. Regarding learning differences, they do subtly evaluate each child and meet with parents to make suggestions. They bring various therapists into the classroom to work with students who need help. That is a regular, weekly occurrence. I ultimately transferred my older child to a different school, where she could receive more help, due to the specific nature of her learning difference. When she reached a certain age, it became beneficial for her to be in a smaller classroom. But when she was younger, and before we completely understood the nature of her learning difference, the administration at LMM was proactive about supporting her and others who had the kinds of learning differences that can easily be addressed (for example, a child with reading issues gets in-school therapy for reading; a child with speech issues gets in-school speech therapy). There IS a thick packet of homework handed out each month, but there is one afternoon per week when kids can stay after school for "homework help." They chip away at their homework with the help of a teacher and other kids, thus avoiding some of the parent-child conflict that comes up around this issue. Overall, the teachers at LMM are wonderful. It is a kind and inclusive environment, while also being academically rigorous and character-building.Parent Review2y ago - Rio Grande School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have never experienced the luxury of the a school such as this one. The teachers put more investment into each and every child to an extent I have never seen. Having two kids and moved a few times in only the four years of my kids lives, I have seen: Daycare's that declare they have agendas that seem fitting and appropriate. Early Childhood centers that claim they are giving my children exactly what they need. Chain Daycares that have excellent reviews... I thought I saw it all until my child was accepted into Rio Grande. I was blown away at what this school offered. The teachers kept me in touch with every small accomplishment and helped with the struggles. There was no detail left unsaid. I assumed all early childhood places declared promises that would never be met - I was very wrong! I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the teachers, the administration and entire school was just as invested in my child as I was.I can say with full confidence that this is the most solid foundation one could ever get for their child. My child wants to go to school every day - and now easily lets me start my day with a happy heart.Parent Review7y ago
