Read what parents are saying about Hope Christian SchoolMy boys are in high school and in middle school. They both love hope and so do their dad and I. It’s a very family oriented school that is extremely safe and I feel like my kids are protected while they are there. They have great conflict, resolution. I feel like they really care about the kids, and I love that the education is led by what God wants for their lives. An excellent faith based education. I highly recommend.
Posted by a parent on 9/25/2023Hope Christian School is OK. We do prefer it to the public school, but we are a bit shocked by the 'not so Christian' behavior of the students, especially the kids in sports. There does not seem to be a Christian standard for language or behavior in the sports programs. Hope is actual known for their poor sportsmanship and foul language among the schools they compete against - ask anyone who has played them. The language is truly profane, and we have witnessed too many bullying incidents and racist comments at the school. There is very little physical fighting at the school, which makes us feel like our child is physically safe. They also have armed security, which is reassuring this day in age. We have been fairly happy with the academics, but there is often way too much homework. We have always said, "Hope may be a Christian school, but it is homework Hell!" It does little good to try to reason with the school on this point. They will not listen. The homework load makes it hard to have a balanced life.We are not sure we are going to stay at this point. Honestly, the language and behavior was better at the public school our children attended than at Hope. We keep hoping the administration will take action to improve the behavior of the students, but it does not seem likely to change at this point. Our preception is that the teachers are of good character and promote good character among the students to no avail. Unfortunately, a lot of the 'good' kids our child knows are leaving because of the poor Christian witness of the student body.
Posted by a parent on 6/30/2022Amazing school. We transferred from another private Christian school (attached to a mega church) and I am glad we did. My daughter was so far behind after two years at that school. Now I know she will actually be prepared to enter college due to the excellent program Hope offers.
Posted by a parent on 7/23/2021This is an amazing school! Hope provided all three of my children with an excellent Christian education and prepared them really well for college. It has the feel of a smaller school where the teachers and staff know and care about the students, yet large enough to provide socialization among classmates, provide excellent athletic opportunities, and programs such as music and drama as well as a strong academic program. I would highly recommend Hope Christian School to anyone with school-aged children. Their tuition is very reasonable and the teachers are excellent with a very supportive administration as well. All of my children attended elementary school through high school and we are so glad we sent them there.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has great facilities: wonderful library, big open cafeteria, great playground, large classrooms, newly xeriscaped front landscaping, and pleasant kid-friendly hallways. My kids had good experiences in learning and making friends here and they had some terrific teachers (with one exception). The school also has after-school programs, both daycare and enrichment, and opens up the facilities for community groups for kids like scouting. Prospective parents should not hesitate to get involved with the PTA, volunteer in the library, and participate in school activities like the balloons and burritos breakfast, jog-a-thon, geography bee, and Missoula Theater plays. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average"Hired" for teaching science but quickly discovered they wanted a baby sitter, not a teacher. First clue was when they switched books mid-quarter. Most students had dismal math skills and with no prerequisites, they struggled with fundamentals. Second clue surfaced when no course standard could be found. The school had no standard. The accrediting agency had no standard. And State standards did not apply to a private school. Therefore, anything could be taught for high school graduation. Ironically, the school was applying for dual-credit status where a course would count as college credit for those who wanted to pay for it. In practice, teaching an AP level curriculum to some while instructing others in rudimentary math would have been impossible. In addition, sports took priority - pulling students from class, keeping them out late and missing class the next day, and injuries requiring doctor visits during class time. I lasted six weeks but the die had already been cast. Most students were granted mask and vaccine waivers, thus alienating students under restrictions. One student was clinically depressed, another had Lupus, and a third hyper-sensitive to noise. Achievement goals of the school listed on the website are outstanding ... if only the administration followed them. I am now tutoring students struggling in various classes at this school. I am a retired military officer, retired STEM educator, and > 1800 tutoring hours. I volunteer and never took a penny.Other Review2y ago - Oak Grove Classical Academy
