Read what parents are saying about The Montessori Academy At St John'sI moved my two daughters to MASJ from "the best" Montessori in Boston. I can say, without a doubt, that the education level at MASJ easily surpasses Boston. What is more, is that the entire team is comprised of loving and caring educators. This 100% includes the administration. The location is absolutely beautiful. The children have play and (homemade) lunch time with a water view, and last month, a Manatee swam up to them. My older daughter is now at Miami Country Day and is a straight A student, thanks to the fundamentals she received at MASJ. I cannot recommend this school highly enough.
Posted by a parent on 4/26/2022Our daughter attended four years (pre-k and kindergarten) at MASJ. Thanks to the educational model of Montessori and the excellent teachers and leadership at MASJ our daughter went through a tremendous academic and social development. The focus on the individual educational development allowed each child to be challenged according to his or her needs. Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade being in one class, our daughter had the chance to get exposed to different levels of educational tasks. The high academic level provided at MASJ could also be seen when changing the school where she could skip one grade. Also for this we express our gratitude to MASJ and wish them continued success.
Posted by a parent on 9/19/2021If you care about your child's education, safety, and emotional well-being do not send them to this school. The administration is completely absent - they are never at the school and do not answer the phones. They allow strangers on the property and this becomes a huge safety issue when there are people on campus that are not affiliated with the school. They are rude to the parents and do not make them feel welcome. There is a reason this is the only school on the beach without a waitlist. Also, a lot of the good reviews are fake. They request that parents write good reviews in exchange for something that the parent might need (school records for example). Most parents are unhappy with the school but know that if they leave they will owe expensive termination fees.

My experience has been very positive. The school staff is amazing.
Posted by a principal on 5/7/2019The teachers are fine but the administration is very bad. Nothing contemplative, does not have a pleasant deal .. I do not recommend this school.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has attended North Beach for 6 years and I can say that this is an EXCELLENT school! The teachers are committed to their students development and students are regularly recognized for their accomplishments building their sense of confidence and joy of learning. Projects and assignments are developed to help stretch children's thinking. Many comments on this site about this being a public school run like a private school. I would agree and am very thankful for that! The workload on students is high with homework almost every night, but the kids get used to the workload and it prepares them for everything that comes next. If you're a parent that doesn't believe homework is important, then this is NOT the school for you. Also, many comments disparaging the "rich yoga moms". To be clear, these moms donate their time and resources to make NBE a terrific elementary school for all. Specifically, they play an active role in helping to organize classroom events, they help fund incremental teachers for those that need more support and they volunteer to support the school whenever needed. Overall, an outstanding school in a terrific community filled with caring families.Parent Review4mo ago - Treasure Island Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is no perfect school as staff shortage is the general downside nowadays. But TIES is a good school overall, in a great location. Class sizes are right. Admin and leadership is supportive and approachable. Most teachers are caring, they are serious about teaching. Although it has several doors, it’s a safe school, I have never seen any safety incidents. Mostly importantly kids are happy!Parent Review1y ago - Casa dei Bambini Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would not reccomend sending your children here at all. I sent my son to the high school this year, and out of all the Jewish schools, we have tried this id definitively at the bottom of the list. Both the Judaics and the traditional course are not sufficient with the teaching they provide. Along with the poor teaching, the workload given to students is extreme especially this year with an ongoing pandemic.Parent Review3y ago - Rabi Alexander S Gross Hebrew

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely not worth the price. The academics are at a lower level than public schools, which I remarked after I retracted my children from this school. The counselors are not concerned by the students' problems, the teachers keep switching, or even get expelled. The teachers are not paid enough, as they claim, and each year at LEAST 5 of them leave. Parents are literally spammed with e-mails that have nothing to do with their children's life. The high school is in a bad condition, and students destroy the wall when they kick it, as the latter are made of paper. There is NO discipline. Judaic teachings have nothing special, and overall, this schools lacks a well structured academic system. The students' future are compromised, be careful with your decision!Parent Review9y ago - Le Petit Papillon Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is not Montessori. Teachers aren't trained and are asked to lie to parents, the staff is a revolving door so you never see the same teacher twice, classrooms are too full due to not having enough teachers, the headmaster shows clear favoritism to the girls of the schools and the boys, you can't access any educational records and it's a fight having them sent to a new school once the child ages out. No nurse on staff for injuries, no phones for teaches to call an ambulance/police in an emergency, no regard for covid outbreaks. This is not a school it barely qualifies as a daycare.Teacher Review1y ago - Devos Academy of Music and Arts
