Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel

Excellent. This is a community school with a long tradition of academic excellence and a supportive community. I and my family are happy to be part of it.

Great, and an amazing community. The education prepares kids to succeed at elite private high schools in the area. A valuable resource is having parents be an active participant in their child’s education which research has shown aids in the childs success.

The principal cares more about keeping up appearances of caring about the wellbeing of students rather than actually caring about the students. As long as things look good to the parents and, more importantly, parents of prospective students, then that's all that matters. In reality, there is little done in those classrooms to educate students and prepare them to be citizens of the world. That school produces stifled, angry and entitled children and young adults who live in a bubble with little to no comprehension of how life works. Parents wanting their children to receive a faith based education should look elsewhere. Mt. Carmel tells its students to live according to the word of God but they do not practice what they preach by a long shot.

I had to leave Our Lady of Mt. Carmel before graduating from eighth grade because the bullying was so horrible. I was also not taught at the level appropriate for me. I made a few, wonderful friends whom I would never wish to trade for the world there, but, my overall experience there was shockingly bad. I wish only the best to the teachers and students there currently. Sincerely, a former student.

Our lady of mount carmel is an absolutely wonderful school! I went there and loved it! There is absolutely no bullying, the academics are wonderful, and it is just a wonderful environment. It is easy to make friends, for the kids are super friendly, all the staff are kind to everyone. I sadly had to move to Arizona, which I love, but honestly, I would move back to redwood city just to go back to school there. Every class grows up together from kindergarten, creating little families to always remember!
