6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is disproportionately minority students and caters to kids who are not white and straight. I constantly get messages about equity and inclusion and how I should support it but nothing ever about how to protect all student from the weekly fights that take place between non-white students. The Spanish teacher (chair of the Spanish Dept.) has an LGBTQ flag in her classroom that she took down for back to school night when parents were going to be at the school. The next day, she put it back up. Strange. Seems she’s hiding something. Patents are not made to feel welcome and are questioned at the entrance upon showing ID. I’m surprised they’re not frisked, which is what should be done with most of the students. They also got rid of school security for the 2022-23 school year and fights broke out weekly, if not more, between non-white students. Our child won’t be returning.Parent Review9mo ago - Emerson Community Charter School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI go to Emerson, and I HATE IT, there is bullying, racism, and homophobic people!!! I would NOT recommend this school and I would also say that you should Not believe any of the other reviews because they are just people being fake!!!Other Review10mo ago - Fairburn Avenue Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is made up of teachers who care, parents who care/give/support, and kids who are thriving. I have never seen a school like Fairburn before. Tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood, and only 400 or so kids - these children are really getting a private school education, as the class sizes are small and each teacher has a TA and a parent volunteer daily. Fairburn is focused on high academics and it shows. This would be a great school to send your child hands down.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 10676 Wilkins Ave #306.

"Very safe, can walk to theatre, restaurants, grocery, medical doctor, best hospital 5 blocks. From this location it is easy to go any direction without traffic by taking the back roads. We moved here 10 years ago from Beverly Hills because we wanted to be close to UCLA Hospital— it is the best hospital in LA and My wife and I are in our 70’s. And if any emergency happens we will be more likely to survive. We walk to dinner most nights because there is a very good selection of great restaurants."
