"I've lived here all my life it used to be really nice and now it's grown up so much it's not what it was. more crimes more drugs but it's but I have to deal with now because I don't have the money to move out of state or out of County. the rent here is unbelievably High and the water bill is even astronomical. "

"This is more of a retired community. If people do have children their kids are safe here They can ride their bikes. The schools here are good. I’d raise my kids here but my kids are already grown "

"Mayberry by the sea. Population is growing. As of 2/19, 8,400 full time residents. Like stepping back in time 40+ years"

"Small town, coastal community. most businesses are local merchants. The closest larger towns are Wilmington to the north and Myrtle Beach to the south. Love the small town community. "

"Not many people here during the slow season. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, be prepared for higher numbers...but even with the higher amounts of people here, you’ll still have 30’ of beach to your left and right, forward and back all to yourself!!"
