Description

Beautiful, furnished condo for rent:

This is a very special condo! It is one of only five units in a great location with wonderful neighbors. We consider ourselves a little unintentional intentional community! Safe second floor unit with two bedrooms, one bathroom (with marble vanity and rain head shower), large sunny living room with lots of windows, maple and tile floors, eat-in kitchen, large pantry, dining area, sun room with extra storage, perennial flower and herb gardens, and an incredible covered porch (the BEST outdoor office) overlooking the quiet grounds of the UU Church. You can sit in the living room or on the porch and have the best seat in town to hear the VT Jazz Fest, and all of the wonderful offerings at the top of Church Street. Short walk up the hill to UVM Medical Center. Short walk down the hill to our magnificent waterfront and bike path.

Move-in ready with beautiful and comfortable furnishings (e.g., plush sofa and two high-end queen mattresses), window treatments, artwork, dishes, pots and pans, etc. provided. Washer and dryer in basement (free for tenant's use), and a partially covered bike rack. All this, and it also comes with one of the most coveted parking spots in Burlington--although you really don't even need a car as you can walk or bike anywhere, or catch public transportation right nearby!

Looking for respectful, quiet, responsible tenant. Maximum two tenants. Available August 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. Thank you for your interest!

No smoking on property--inside or out. Sorry, no pets. $3,300/mo. Tenants pay utilities (VT Gas, BED, and Burl Telecom--all very low monthly bills). Landlord pays water and sewer, snow removal, mowing, trash, recycling, and compost pick up.

"Burlington is such a good community and a great place to raise a family. As in any city, be aware of your surroundings when going out at night, but I would rate burlington as one of the safest (small) cities in the country. "

"Nothing is too far from anything here. Compared to our old home in Seattle, this is a breeze. Very bikeable. Haven’t used the bus system yet. "

"Folks tend to tailgate pretty bad, and road rage is increasing as more out of staters move to vermont. More traffic, so more incentive to take public transit. Roads need a lot of help. Commute to surrounding towns takes little time if it’s not rush hours."

"Being the oldest and most diverse neighborhood in Burlington, the Old North End lends a unique charm and character to the city. The Queen City would be sorely lacking without this neighborhood. It can be loud and some of the buildings can use some TLC, but those are the most minor of qualms and should be expected in any city neighborhood. McMansionville this is not, thank goodness. "

"There are a lot of families in the neighborhood. There is a park with hiking trails just across the street. Easy access to two bike paths. There is a grocery store, hardware store, pediatricians office, kids dentist and a could restaurants within a five minute drive (15-20 min walk). And the elementary school is just around the block. "

"I own a dog and even though she doesn't like other dogs much we still make it out at least three times a day. Almost everyone leashes their dog, only twice has some dog bounced happily toward my growling boxer mix. No incidents."

"There are not enough dog parks and a lot of houses/apartments do not have yards. A lot of people in the neighborhood seem to be afraid of dogs. "

"It’s a family friendly neighborhood close to everything! It’s unique in that there are 3 bike paths including trails that lead to lake Champlain which is only about 5 to 10 minute walk! Take another short walk to Ethan Allen park or cross country ski there in the winter including a wooden bridge that leads to Ethan Allen homestead. Enjoy craft beers at the simple roots brewery which is literally a 5 min walk. "
