7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile the school had quite promising programs to offer, the strict dress code which is outdated by two decades and can be inflexible for plus sized students. The support staff do not adhere to the dress code to serve as an example for the students to follow, which is hypocritical. Communication between school staff and families are either robotic boiler language, ineffective, or none at all. School safety has been a huge concern on campus, yet families are left in the dark. While we love the opportunities provided, we are sadly disappointed that we have to rely on our children to communicate the recent safety issues: fights, trespassing, threats to school safety, etc. These should've come first hand from the staff. It’s very upsetting to notify families that students must maintain a minimum 96% attendance throughout their stay at Nobel in order to graduate and walk (during their final year.) This information should've been clearly communicated when students first started their stay, not their final year. Yes, we would recommend it for the programs it offers. Some of teachers and support staff are fantastic! But proceed with caution, so you won’t be surprised or blindsided.Parent Review6mo ago - Beckford Charter for Enriched Studies

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is finally in 5th grade this year and it has been so disappointing. The only exciting thing is the sleep away camp. The field trips suck, compared to previous years. No one donates or volunteers. The PTA this year is horrible. Also, the principal is retiring after this year. Lastly, expect hours and hours of homework so any activity afterschool is impossible.Parent Review2mo ago - Chatsworth Charter High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePlacing my grandson in CHHS G+STEAM Magnet was a bad choice. Class options are limited, particularly in the Computer Science track. Teachers are frequently absent for meetings, conventions, etc. The main thrust of the program seems to be the aggrandizement of the school, not the best education of the students. The counseling staff is available but not especially helpful.Parent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near LOT C Northridge Rd.

"There are a lot of transients walking around the area all the time, it makes my children feel unsafe walking to and from school. The city should really try to do something about this problem as it compromises the safety of the tenants here. "
