"My commute to Manhattan Beach is typically 25 minutes. Very hit and miss in terms of traffic oñ the 405 freeway. As little as 15 minutes. As much as 40 minutes. Taking side streets pretty much guarantees 30 minutes."

"The schools are good, the streets in the neighborhood are safe, but a bit too narrow. Wilson park has many sport facilities and classes. There is a miniature steam train that gives free rides once a month. Halloween is a big ocassion, with many homes going all out to entertain and give out candy"

"Lived here my whole life, so kinda prejudiced. But this is the ideal small town feel mixed with proximity to big city-best of both worlds. Went to Torrance high, great school AND great architecture. Foster Freeze a great hang out in high school, and in my 60s'. Love my home town!"

"Old Torrance between Torrance Blvd. and Carson Blvd. is one of the nicest, friendliest neighborhoods in the South Bay, with many little turnover and many long-time residents. A true find. Beech and Acacia are especially charming."
