3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been going to Mowery for two years now and let me tell you… he’s now an open book to learning. He was never this opened to learning at his old school in Shippensburg he went from loving school to hating school within a few days because he was being bullied and teachers didn’t pay attention to him. Here at Mowery they help him understand in fun ways that he loves. My son has speech problems and I have seen much improvement over the two years. He also can’t wait to go to school in the morning. His brother goes with him and he also loves it too. I’m satisfied when I know my kids are safe and they’re happy to be in an educational environment.Parent Review1y ago - Waynesboro Area Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average2023 was my first year at WASH. The student and teachers are friendly and polite. Although the school is predominantly white, I am starting to notice more diversity. Also, I never had a problem fitting in or making friends.Other Review10mo ago - Waynesboro Area Middle School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNew administration in place at the school that will replace a weak Vice Principal that did not support the Principal last year in her actions. lets hope the new Principle and Vice can get the school back on track by enforcing discipline and better preparing the students for high school both in behavior and academics.Parent Review11y ago - Check out schools near 8802 Anthony Hwy.

"Nothing really, it’s a relatively small mostly quiet town. I don’t mind living here but I wish there was something for my kids to do."
- Miguel T.
- Resident

"The roads get really hot in the summer but that’s how it is with most places right? This town has a small dog park on the north side. The main street is lively enough to get a dog used to people but not overcrowded. Main Street also has doggy bag dispensers/bins and is shaded well making it a desirable place to walk your dog. "

"The neighborhood is fairly safe compared to where I come from. There is still a lot of racism here and people don’t mind their business. Schools are not great. "

"I'm 34 and I've lived in this town my whole life. It's gone downhill over the last ten to fifteen years, due to the adversity now compared to then. It has brought alot of "problems" with it and has, in my option, colapsed alot of things in our town. Mainly businesses. We do not have anything in our town for youth, like a Boys & Girls Club or community building that would help children in a large age range, say after school programs and such. It's heartbreaking."

"Waynesboro has added new posts with free doggie baggies. Dogs are welcome at any downtown out door event."
