5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve had a very terrible experience at this school. Was treated very unfairly and feelings were disregarded. So happy this is my child’s last yr here. And legal action would be takenParent Review6mo ago - J.W. Sexton High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am so disturbed to read these reviews because my nephew is attending JW Sexton and has experienced bullying with nothing done about it. The stories my nephew tells about the security guards turn there heads like nothing is happening. The bullying is my main concern, it has turned my nephew ugly against wanting to be at school. The principals make excuses for the students bullying and come after the ones being bullied. The school seems to protect the black students but as I am a parent of a biracial child, I find this disturbing that race has to play a role because we are all equal no matter the color of our skins. I believe what is wrong is wrong. The school board needs to act before something bad happens by a student that is fed up of it, this should not be. My nephew quit the football team due to bullying and I heard over the phone as the coaching staff encouraged it and didn’t stop it. I also had a conversation with the coach and he was the most disrespectful man I ever met, no wonder why the students act the way they do. The parents need to step up and get involved in changing the policy’s in JW Sexton high school, I am going to the school board meeting due to the issues I’ve been dealing with there with my nephew on 12/2/2021 from 6-8.Parent Review2y ago - Willow School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePattengill academy is a great 4th through 6th school and each grade has its own floor. The school has a huge gym, a cafeteria with a stage, and a separate auditorium. The school has a great playground tons of space for kids to burn off energy to be focused for class and this wonderful building is run by Tony Forstophel.Other Review9y ago - Mt. Hope School

"We don’t have many honestly because the people here ruin everything always have to bring their drama to the kid events can never just have a good time then the parks it’s a hit or miss cause you never know which one people pee and poop in the slides I would never recommend Lansing Michigan for anyone with kids this is not a place to raise a child "

"There are options with CATA, pleasant walks past classic old houses, the rivertrail and taxi's respond quickly here. I think it's one of the more walkable areas, with many residences having pleasant gardens. "
