7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had an incredible experience at Prairie Point this far. My child is in 2nd grade and has an IEP, special needs. From day one this school's staff has been incredible, kind, and attentive. My child's team of therapists and SPEd teachers, and main teacher...so attentive to detail, intention, and care. Some teasing happened and it was nipped in the bud immediately. My child also has a lot of anxiety and everyone from the Principal, Vice Principal, to the school nurse and all the teachers and therapists were so helpful and supportive, working with us as a team. The school is clean, ordered, and there is always someone in the hall to guide the children or offer a hello. We have been seriously impressed with this school and though weren't necessarily planning on sticking around in this particular neighborhood, we feel that we just have to because the school has been so incredible. The only thing I wished existed was an "outside everyday" campaign for the Park Hill School district, supplying appropriate clothing for the children to be out doors in all forms of weather which I think is significantly important to a child's development and well being. (That's just me, coming from a Montessori/Forest School/ Waldorf inspired place.) I honestly can't say enough good things about this school. We are so grateful.Parent Review1y ago - Park Hill South High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, we have been very happy with PHS HS. They have programs that set conditions for our children's success, specifically STEM programs, AP, and athletics. Always recommend Park Hill School District schools to those moving into the KC areaParent Review4y ago - Lakeview Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school sucks! My first frieday of 6th grade there was a gun brought to school… all people like to do is get high everyday in the bathroom then continue to skip class with other people then when principals see them roaming and see that they are CLEARLY high they just tell them to get back to work. The teachers don’t care about your well being or education. The lunch food is DISGUSTING!! They served us spoiled milk for 3 months STRAIGHT! They don’t check expiration dates. The school is full with rich, spoiled, mean, self obsorbed kids. If your not rich your not good enough for anyone. THIS SCHOOL SUCKS!!Other Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 6922 NW Pleasant View Ct.

"Unsafe, poorly maintained, outrageous pricing, no amenities at all. Buildings and appliances are old and outdated. "
- Trulia User

"I currently reside in this same neighborhood. It is a great neighborhood with a mixture of people of all races and nationalities. It is safe for the most part, but there are a handful of homeless vagrants in the area. Although a decent area of Kansas City, I wouldn't have packages left in an insecure area as they do have a tendency to get stolen. Other than that, it is an area full of life, things to do and it is central to everything in Kansas City."

"I have not lived here for some years, but I’m trying to move back into the city. I don’t actually know what it’s like anymore, but I hope it’s nice."
