Read what parents are saying about Lakeview Middle SchoolThis school sucks! My first frieday of 6th grade there was a gun brought to school… all people like to do is get high everyday in the bathroom then continue to skip class with other people then when principals see them roaming and see that they are CLEARLY high they just tell them to get back to work. The teachers don’t care about your well being or education. The lunch food is DISGUSTING!! They served us spoiled milk for 3 months STRAIGHT! They don’t check expiration dates. The school is full with rich, spoiled, mean, self obsorbed kids. If your not rich your not good enough for anyone. THIS SCHOOL SUCKS!!
Posted by a community member on 12/31/2023While Overall Park Hill SD is rated well Lakeview Middle School is not and for good reason. When my son went to Graden the staff was amazing and he did extremely well. I have a pretty introverted, quiet kid with Anxiety/ADD who is on a 504. When he made the transition from elementary school I reached out prior to school starting to change his plan because I knew transitions were going to be hard and the middle school schedule would be a challenge. The guy doing it refused to do anything because they wait until after the 1st quarter to evaluate 6th grade learning plans which makes absolutely no sense. So, a few weeks into school my usually easy-going son is not doing well, super overwhelmed stimming again (we had it completely stopped at Graden- he only does this when he has severe anxiety) and then one day they made all the kids send emails to parents (without explaining their ridiculous 80/20 grading which means grades are deceiving and may look like they are failing when they are not- pretty dangerous when you do not know a kids home life but ok) where he thought he was failing a class and basically made it clear he now felt stupid. When I had a fit about this and his 504 the coordinator did nothing but "talk" to teachers and after 2 weeks we made the decision to pull him from Lakeview because his self esteem was rapidly declining. The 504 coordinator did not even call us until a month AFTER we had already pulled him 2-3 months after school started to revise his plan. The topping on the cake was that some kids brought a gun to school and the kids were not taken to a safe location- my son spent an extended period of time sitting in an open area (lunchroom) with kids told to stay put while they locked the school down and "handled it" and they were told not to call parents when they had no idea what was going on. We also had issues getting anything out of the admin staff- completely unresponsive and unhelpful any time we had to deal with them. All of this was obviously shocking after having such a great experience at Graden - I would never recommend this school and will not be sending my student back in middle school specifically because of how poorly run this school is.
Posted by a parent on 8/31/2023The school is amazing school. Tons of great students and people. They don’t push weird agendas on students. Teachers stay private and don’t share their private life in the class room.
Posted by a parent on 3/11/2023I would highly recommend Lakeview Middle School to anyone looking for a quality education for their child. It is a fantastic institution that truly cares about its students' success and growth, and it provides a welcoming and supportive community for all.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy family LOVES Clay Platte Montessori! Our son is 4 and has been enrolled in primary for over a year now. Our daughter is 1 and in the toddler community. The guides in both classrooms are incredible. Our 1 year old is beyond excited every morning to go to school and is all smiles at drop off. Our 4 year old is learning and developing so much and so well. He's been in a handful of daycares prior to enrolling at Clay Platte Montessori and none can hold a candle to the love, acceptance, growth, and personalized attention we have received from this community. The guides are so kind and involved, the ratios are low, and the administrative staff is wonderful. We are so grateful to have found this community and hope to stay a part of it for the next 17 years!Parent Review5mo ago - Parkway Montessori
