2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMVHS students have made tremendous improvements since Principal Ms. Pauline Pearce took over the position. There are very few disputes between students as in the past. Ms. Pearce strict no-nonsense rules are great improvement to students & parents. All in all I am very proud of my son’s achievement in attending MVHS. THANK YOU!Parent Review2mo ago - Grimes School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended Grimes for two years & it was the worst educational experience. While his 3rd grade teacher was great, everything else was horrible. My son was bullied, I made a claim on the MVCSD website, never heard back, and it was never addressed. When I spoke with the teacher directly, she had NO IDEA what was happening in her own classroom. There were 2 situations where the school had to go on lockdown due to shooting or gun involvement, one which occurred in the school playground. The final semester, his teacher was out for maternity leave, when I received his final report card, his 3rd marking period was blank except for PE and Art. I guess since the teacher was out, they didn't think educating and testing the students was important? If you have a choice, DO NOT CHOOSE GRIMES. I would have given one star, but his 3rd grade teacher was very good. My son has since moved to the local charter school and loves it.Parent Review6mo ago - Benjamin Turner Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMost of the teachers actually care about the students and want them to excel. The students on the other hand aren t taking their future serious enough and they are loud, rude and have no respect for themselves or the other students who want to become something in life.Other Review10y ago - Denzel Washington School-Arts

"I’ve live in this neighborhood for 25 years and it’s a quite and safe neighborhood at all times. Parking is hard late at night no matter what day of the week. It seems somewhat dangerous near the deli’s open till late night."

"The diverse people in the area. The are multiple transit lines to get you to work. Food shopping is convenient. grocery stores are open 24 hours a day. Gas stations are walking distance. Schools and places of worship are also close by. The parking stinks though."

"My wife, and I want to leave NYC for a home with more space for our children. We have been wanting a home for years, but our preference had been to stay in the city. After broadening our search, we have found some beautiful homes, for a fraction of the price that are mostly what we are looking for in a home, most importantly yard space for the kids, multi-car garage for my projects, and office space for my wife to begin her home business.
