4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and staff are dedicated to the students. They have really good magnet programs and alternate pathways for the students to be successful. I'm happy that I enrolled my child at Stranahan. He did very well in the Engineering Magnet program. Now he's on his way to the University of Florida! (There were a lot of students accepted to UF...) 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely terrible school! The principal is disconnected with what is going on in this school from 6th grade to 8th. Ms. Reep seems to be the run that runs the show and her staff carries a I don't care attitude just like her. The coach is terrible he picks kids that are already gifted with athleticism instead of building and creating a team. The Magnet program is being ran by a control freak. Example: This school called me on a very serious note cause my son took too long in the bathroom. My son is lactose intolerant and has IBS. All they had to do was asked but they gave him detention instead. They are more focused on what your child has on instead of what is going on with the student. We didn't clean clothes so I sent my son to school with Jeans and he was placed in detention for the entire rest of the day. Way to go Ms. Reep. The teachers don't care, I am a firm believe I am a firm believer in teacher/parent communication. I'm still waiting to hear back from teachers and the useless guidance counselor. 1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a new parent also this year and i had a different experience than the previous parent. The administration is excellent. The pricipal greets each student when they arrive. The teachers returned all my calls quickly. The schools has the most up to date technology- IPADs, iMacs, promethean boards. My son loved the marine science theme. I THINK THE SCHOOL IS WHAT THE PARENTS, THE COMMUNITY AND THE SCHOOL MAKES IT!!! "There’s been numerous cars being broken into, cars stolen, the HOA is awful, there’s no amenities, parking can be a hassle etc. truthfully if you’re looking for a place whether that’s to rent or buy in this area, there’s really nice ones close by that are cheaper, in better shape and you have a garage. "
