"Laid-back/chill vibe, away from the hectic, busy downtown scene. Close to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, schools, and parks/green spaces - great & convenient location with quick access to highways. The demographics here are also pretty diverse, so it's easy to feel comfortable and at home. "

"There isn't a lot of green space in the area. Traffic moves fast, and the shoulders on the road are non-existent. I don't feel safe walking my dog along the busy streets, nor is it even enjoyable."

"You can walk to a lot of places, and there's also a bus route. Be ready for traffic morning and late afternoon. There are lots of schools nearby, so a lot of stoplights. We have good access to the interstates and highways, so that's helpful if you work down south."

"Manchaca has gotten very busy in the last few years. Many people use it as a cut-through neighborhood to avoid traffic and get downtown. There aren't a lot of lights, so people drive way too fast in the area. Left turns are a nightmare."

"The neighborhood is getting worse. I feel like there are a lot more young teenagers walking around with no real purpose. It doesn't feel safe to be walking around late at night."

"It's mostly families who live down here. We have lots of schools and many parks nearby you can walk to with no problems. I love the decorations in the neighborhood for Halloween and Christmas. The annual Easter egg hunt is really fun for the kids too. We're always looking to do things for small kiddos."

"I would not recommend this area for families. Cars drive too fast, and shoulders on the sidewalks are non-existent, which means a distracted driver could easily jump the curb and hit a person. There also isn't a lot of green space or parks for kids to play in."

"I have been a resident of this neighborhood for over 30 years. It is safe, quiet and well-established. The location is great, with access to Ben White, Mopac, I-35 and South First is a straight run into downtown. There are two bus stops within a block. The house is located in between Central Market and Southpark Meadows and four movie theaters are 5 minutes away."
