4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrankly the principal Pamela Waite is completely unresponsive and does not take responsibility for anything occuring within her school. She is rude to parents and makes them feel as if bringing up concerns affecting their children is a bother to her day to day work and "job".Parent Review1y ago - Memorial High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would rate Memorial 100% better than Verona School District can and has!!!Student Review3y ago - Orchard Ridge Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is dismissive of parental concerns. There seem to be no consequences for children behaving badly, and even violent children are allowed to stay in the classroom jeopardizing the learning and safety of the other pupils. The teaching staff are very nice, but are ineffective at teaching due to the administration and the rules they have to follow.Parent Review6y ago - Toki Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is total Chaos. I've stopped in on numerous occasions to see dozens of 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade kids milling around in the hallways unsupervised. I've seen fights break out with no adult to stop them, kids jumping off of furniture, throwing hard objects. The problem is there's a few very poor neighborhoods nearby, so there are a lot of disadvantaged kids. Which is fine... but the school administration refuses to staff for that. After numerous complaints, meetings will all levels of the administration and a community petition signed by dozens of parents they finally hired 1, part time person. That's it. The problems persist, there is little to no communication with the families and it's only a matter of time before a child is seriously injured here. The principle is completely clueless and doesn't even seem to think unsupervised 7yr olds is a bad thing.Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 5718 Balsam Rd #1.

"I just moved here in August and so far it’s a really neat place to live. Not too far from any necessities. "

"Neighbors keep sidewalks and lawn well - lots of mature trees and shade on hot days. "

"We’ve lived her for 3 years. It’s nice and easy to commute all over and you get huge yards for a great price "

"I’ve lived in the area for 7 months and have not had a great experience. There has been a lot of violence in the area."

"I already commented before, but I was shocked to see that only 10% of people interviewed said they planned on staying in this neighborhood for at least 5 years. I have been here for 6, our neighbor on one side has been here almost as long, and several of our other neighbors have been in the neighborhood longer than we have. I have put down roots here so I plan on staying at least a decade assuming employment opportunities hold."

"Well I actually live in Verona there are several restaurants I can want to but Miller is a bit too expensive but we do have a lot of nice parks although the people are crazy absolutely crazy about mowing their lawn so all you here all summer long is lawnmowers that’s where we just moved away from there"

"We have several community gardens within walking distance. There is no home owners association so I can grow whatever plants I want and no random fees or being forced to abide by someone else's aesthetic. For the middle of the city there is reasonable pollinator diversity and wildlife, my kid really likes the variety. There are several parks within walking distance though truthfully we usually just go to the one closer to our house rather than the one's with better equipment."

"This neighborhood is really convenient to the beltline, only 3 minutes to the new Hi Vee and Westgate, Babes, Vintage, Larados, and there is a Wallgreens within a block. Very well patrolled by Madison Police it's a nice safe neighborhood. More properties are being renovated and updated all the time and some really good people live in the area."
