What Locals Say about Kapolei

"Cool to visit, not to live. We stayed in Ko’Olina. It’s beautiful, but if you have young kids, try another area of town with more family friendly living "

"Everything is close. The beach is less than a mile away. The neighborhood is quiet and very family oriented. A car is good to have but I see a lot of people on bicycles. There is little crime and because of the close knit community everybody looks out for each other."

"It’s safe to walk in the neighborhoods very peaceful. People are friendly. Many stores and places to eat from Kamakana AliI to Kapolei Commons to Ewa Beach. There are many stops to catch the buses for transportation. You see many people who walk their dogs and some people are considerate to pick up their poop others are ignorant and don’t care."

"Kapolei has two main areas for a great shopping experience. There are many restaurants located all over kapolei and a few movie theaters. Couple community fairs/carnivals a year. Beaches are close by and easily accessible year round. People on this side of the island are generally more friendlier since we are further away from the Honolulu which gives a more relaxed feeling compared to living in the city. "
