I had the unfortunate experience of sending my child to Green Valley Middle School in Fairfield, California, and I cannot express how utterly disappointed I am with the overall quality of education and the school environment. It's quite evident that the staff at Green Valley Middle School lacks dedication and competence. Firstly, the communication from the school is abysmal. Important information is rarely conveyed to parents, and when attempts are made to contact the administration, it feels like you're speaking into a void. It's as if they don't care about keeping parents informed about their child's education. The teachers seem disinterested and unqualified. My child's academic progress suffered due to the lack of effective teaching methods and the apparent lack of passion from educators. It's disheartening to see such a disregard for the students' learning experience. The facilities are in a sorry state. The classrooms are outdated, and the school lacks essential resources. It's as if the administration is more focused on cutting corners than providing a conducive learning environment for the students. Moreover, the bullying problem at Green Valley Middle School is rampant and seems to be overlooked by the school staff. It's astonishing that they can't maintain a safe and secure environment for their students. In summary, I would strongly advise against enrolling your child at Green Valley Middle School. It's a place that seems to care more about bureaucracy than the well-being and education of its students. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by considering other, more reputable educational institutions in the Fairfield area.

This school is HORRIBLE and has failed to keep my child safe. There have been several incidents with my child and not one has been properly addressed. This school encourages bullying and harassment of ALL kinds by ignoring serious issues. The special education staff abide by IEPS if and when they feel like it and going to the principal to address anything at all is a waste of time. you have to basically track her down to get her to talk to you and she plays the concerned role very well and never follows up. The school was on lockdown due to police chasing someone in the area and parents weren't notified until over 2 hours later! Stay FAR away from this school.

I've sent 2 kids to this school and have been very satisfied with their experience. My '22 graduate is on the spectrum and sometimes needed accommodations. I found the school in general to very reasonable and Miss Barret and Miss McLaughlin in particular are amazing. He was able to take a few AP classes and with Miss Barret's help he was able to stay organized and pass those classes. He was able to participate in sports and earn a varsity letter. These achievements didn't always seem like they would be part of his life path and I am grateful. He went on to work part-time while attending Solano Community College and anticipates receiving an Associate's degree soon. My '24 graduate has been able to take 12 AP classes and pass all the AP exams (so far, more exams coming soon). On his first attempt he achieved an SAT score in the top 5% nationally. He's never had a tutor or taken a prep class for the exam. Whatever he learned, he learned at ROD. He's enjoyed the complete high school experience including clubs and varsity sports. He will be entering a 4 year institution with many credits already complete. If I had to issue a complaint about the school, they are not always prepared for the excitement of their student body. If you aren't in line early, you will miss out on many of the events. Football, basketball and volleyball games regularly sell out. As do some dances and other fun stuff. Additionally many classes fill to capacity too quickly. It's hard to get into Spanish for example and many kids are pushed into French or German for a language class. I'd love to see the school do better and offer a wider variety of languages.

Everyone at this school is so kind and helpful. You get a sense of community and involvement from parents. Students are respectful from the most part that I’ve seen and so far the teachers that my child had are so kind and supportive.

Matt Garcia has been a great credit recovery school for my daughter , the staff is very friendly and super supportive . The principal Cindy has been efficient and fair in handling a lot of sensitive situations with misunderstood, troubled teenagers . they could use some help with the annoying automated phone calls home , but other then that , Im a happy parent , and looking forward to watching my daughter graduate this year .
