7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWest Woods School is an amazing elementary school. The teachers care deeply about the kids and the administration is top notch. Recently, the school has undergone some needed repairs to the roof and the HVAC system. The building is older, but also has a lot of space, a nice open courtyard and a great playground. I certainly feel that my children are being taught well, and kept safe. I do have strong concerns about the political establishment, cronyism, extreme agenda and waste in Hamden as a whole and these do have an impact on the school system (and our incredibly high taxes), but West Woods School truly is an wonderful place to learn.Parent Review8mo ago
