4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not know alot about Blocker other that my two girls go there and really seem to enjoy it!! They live with their Dad in Texas City and they have not had any problems so someone is doing something right!! The faculty must be doing their ongoing jobs of working with their students!!!Parent Review10y ago - Roosevelt-Wilson Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYou usually don't think of a librarian as being a motivator but she genuinely cares about my children and makes learning fun. Neither one of my boys liked to read until we came to Roosevelt Wilson. I have also really enjoyed my children's classroom teachers. Great communication with parents.Parent Review9y ago - Texas City High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI find my years at TCHS were pretty good. Never had any problems with the teachers, or students for that matter. There are a plethora of opportunities to get involved. The choir is very successful, as are the other academic UIL teams. The band under the new band director is just amazing, as are the other extra curriculars, including a new video production club/class and architecture classes. The teachers are amazing and are actually interested in their students, if the students give them a chance. At least, the AP teachers. The new administration is cracking down and the school is really shaping up behavior-wise as well as literally as the new school is nearing completion. I look forward to seeing how TCHS will grow and change in the future.Student Review13y ago - Fry Intermediate School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would give a 0 rating if it was an option. The teachers DO NOT know how to treat students or the parents. Most of the staff employed in the front office are rude and disrespectful. The principal also talks down to the children and their parents. You are never allowed to go inside the school so getting ahold of anyone is impossible. My phone calls are never returned including when they faculty put my student on the wrong bus and could not locate them. I was never apologized to or reached out to from anyone at the school. I would never recommend this school to any parent. I am glad that my student only had to go here one year. I will also be filing a formal complaint with the school board.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 503 23rd Ave N.
